Hey y’all, posting here for a room for rent. In the past it's been a musicmaking house. It includes living space and studio/practice space downstairs.
Offering 1 unfurnished bedroom in a shared, roomy West Asheville house off Old Haywood Rd starting as early as October (probably mid-month pro-rated, but possibly the 1st). Rent is $1,125/mo + utilities, which is higher than a typical room because this is a large 4-bedroom house that has historically been shared between only two people, leaving several rooms available for offices, music, creative space, guests, etc. I'd like to put more than the 6 pictures shown, but this site limits it to 6 for some reason.
I’m Joel, 40, and I run my own business. I love music, movies, and craft beer. I’m a drummer with my kit downstairs.
This is an ideal house for a fellow musician, creative, nightworker, or someone that is not bothered by music in the basement a few times a week. We can work out a schedule that works for everyone, as roommates here have in the past.
-The bedroom is about 11x11 with one window and a closet. But there's a third bedroom upstairs you can use for an office or whatever.
-Private bathroom: The main bathroom is directly outside the bedroom and would essentially be your private bathroom; I'll use the bathroom in my master suite.
-Newish appliances in the kitchen
-THREE porches, one partially covered
-Full garage that we use as storage/shop
-Washer and Dryer
-Nice rolling yard with fire pit
-2 extra rooms for office/creative studio/guest room
-Additional storage space downstairs
-Only 12-15min from downtown AVL
-~1550 sq ft total
-Tucked away on a quiet, short dead-end dirt road. Great fireflies, excellent neighbors.
-Utilities average $125/mo per person
Ideally, I’d like to keep this house in the company of creatives/musicians because it’s a rare spot. You can make music, or pursue your craft, at any hour without any issue from the neighbors here. A few of AVL’s finest musicians have lived here and practiced in the basement!
Looking for someone who is relatively clean, of course respectful, and can pay their rent and bills with no issues. I’d like to live with someone who is friendly and at least a little social, because that’s who I am. We don’t have to be best friends but I’d like ease in our conversations.I have no pets but your dog is welcome. The landlord does not allow cats, sadly.
Security deposit is $1100, also due upon moving in.
